We want to put many peoples mind at ease by saying we were very surprised at how modern many places of South Africa are. Many American items or their equivalent are available here. However they are very expensive. Just like any other 3rd world country you may have been in, you can have a nice building and then across the highway the wood and tin shack has no running water or indoor toilet. Just to contrast a few differences:
